What is Lime Desiccant

Lime Desiccant is widely used on precise instruments, food packing, garments, shoes, caps and other products, being an ideal mold prevention product for the manufacturers.
The main composition of RAYM desiccant is calcium oxide, which absorbs moisture by a chemical reaction. It is nontoxic and tasteless with a strong odor removing performance and would not cause pollution to the environment.  The chemical equation is usually expressed as: CaO+H2O=Ca(OH)2.
 Its moisture absorption has nothing to do with the external humidity condition, the moisture absorption capacity is about 30% of its own weight, after absorbing the moisture, it will change into powder, so it is very easy to judge whether it has absorbed moisture or not. Lime Desiccant is made of highly hygroscopic lime by adopting high technologies with high hygroscopicity property. he amount of water absorbed is not related to the humidity outside and the water absorbed will not return to the dried products because of its evaporation.
